Kathryn Kearley

Kathryn commenced with Hunt & Hunt Lawyers as a Partner in 2021. Prior to that she was in sole practice and a law lecturer specialising in family law. She holds degrees of BA ,LLB, LLM (Hons) and MEd.
Kathryn has over 30 years’ experience in the practice of Family law. She became an Accredited Family Law Specialist in 1992. Kathryn provides legal advice and representation in all types of family law cases including divorce, property settlement and financial arrangements , de facto and same-sex relationships and parenting arrangements.
Kathryn is committed to best practice in family law and so she works with clients to provide constructive solutions to family law problems. She has extensive experience in acting for clients in complex property and commercial family law matters. Kathryn works closely with experts including valuers and accountants to achieve clients’ goals.
Kathryn explores the available options with her clients. She has extensive experience in all the ways in which family law disputes can be resolved including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and collaborative practice. Kathryn has acted in many successful complex cases, and although litigation is usually best avoided if at all possible (due to the stress, time and expense involved) she is very experienced at running family law court cases.
