Can these points count towards my compulsory CPD or CLE points?
Yes. CPD or CLE is self-assessed. This means that you determine whether the subject matter of the course is relevant to your particular needs, and claim the amount of time it took you to finish the course. One hour = one point.
Online learning is a recognised way of obtaining CPD points, under the Continuing Professional Development Rules 2009 made by the Law Institute of Victoria, or equivalent CPD or CLE rules in the jurisdiction relevant to you.
Is CPD Interactive accredited to provide CPD or CLE training?
CPD Interactive is accredited in Western Australia to provide CPD training – the only state or territory where accreditation is required.
Under the rules of other jurisdictions you record your own CPD activity and, upon renewing your practising certificate each year, certify that you have completed the required units. CPD Interactive provides courses in each of the required fields under the rules. Experts in their respective fields provide content for CPD Interactive courses. This includes advocacy, electronic litigation and managing diversity in the workplace.
If you aren’t sure, check the rules in your state or territory, speak to your Learning & Development Manager or just give us a call on 1300 85 45 11.
